television and radio are now so obviously not telling the truth.

It is a perfect, ironic situation … the only real way for this to happen was that we hit rock-bottom.

Those who have spoken the truth are no longer here.

Their chairs at the Thanksgiving adult big table are empty.

Their relatives have sent them to Siberia with a roll of their eyes.

We are there. At the bottom. At the beginning.

… Okay ... here we go, scooch up to the samovar,

… maybe leave your hat and boots on,

… fill your peasant hands with a warm drink ...

and listen for the sound of hoofbeats on the ice.
