April 8, 2021 (MedicalXpress) -- Scientists could be a step closer to reducing the impact of traumatic memories.

 

Procedures used by clinicians to indirectly reactivate traumatic memories render a window where those memories can be altered, or even erased completely, a Texas A&M University study shows.

 

A report in the journal Nature Neuroscience details a study by researchers from the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences and the Institute for Neuroscience.
